Michelle Merges, LPN joined Jackson Purchase Medical Associates in August 1992 in the capacity of Dr. Jesse Wallace's clinical nurse for 12 years. In January 2004, she accepted the position of clinical team leader which entailed assisting with staff training and scheduling. With the advancement in technology and growth of JPMA, Ms. Merges was promoted to Director of Nursing in September 2006. She set a goal to ensure adequate coverage for the physicians while providing the clinical staff with flexible scheduling. She continues to fulfill her goal and has taken on the added responsibility of Director of Central Call Center and Medical Records. She has the assistance of 3 team leaders, Janene Campbell, Krista Reed and Michel Angle, who help oversee these departments. Ms. Merges was instrumental in the startup operation of Paducah Family Medicine and Ballard County Medical Clinic. In addition to the above, Ms. Merges oversees all the receptionists at all Jackson Purchase Medical Associates entities. She continues to stress customer service and patient satisfaction to all staff. Ms. Merges works closely with the area schools, Daymar College and West Kentucky Technical, to assist with their internship programs. In addition to her responsibilities at JPMA, Ms. Merges also serves on outside committees for St. Francis de Sales Church and St. Mary School System. Ms. Merges graduated from the West Kentucky Technical College Licensed Practical Nursing Program and worked at Lourdes Hospital prior to joining Jackson Purchase Medical Associates. She offers our organization 21 years of nursing experience. |
